Florida Department of Juvenile Justice — Our Children, Our Future

Human Trafficking Intervention Training

In 2015, the Florida Department Juvenile Justice (FDJJ) implemented policies and procedures for identification of potential victims and for staff training.

FDJJ current policy requires all staff and contracted providers who have direct contact with youth to complete a basic human trafficking intervention course at the time of hire. Additionally, Juvenile Probation Officers (JPOs) and individuals who complete detention screening must complete an annual advanced human trafficking training and Human Trafficking Screening Tool (HTST) training.

For more information about FDJJ policies and training protocols, contact the Human Trafficking Intervention Director.
