Program Description
Kissimmee Youth Academy is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving high-risk and max-risk females youth aged 14-21. These programs provide services utilizing evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling.
Kissimmee Youth Academy high-risk program provides youth behavioral/mental health, substance abuse, and borderline intellectual functioning services. A youth’s length of stay is determined by the youth's assessed risk to reoffend, their progress in reducing applicable criminogenic needs and risk factors, and the completion of their individualized treatment plan.
Kissimmee Youth Academy max-risk program provides youth behavioral/mental health, substance abuse, and borderline intellectual functioning services. The designated length of stay for a youth is 18 to 36 months.
