Law enforcement officers complete the referral form and a delinquency citation checklist and forward them to the program.

Misdemeanor offenses, 17 years old or younger, excluding domestic violence and sex offenses.

Program requirements include, but are not limited to, community service hours; payment of restitution, if applicable; classes established by the Department or the program; and intervention services indicated by a needs assessment of the youth, such as family counseling, urinalysis monitoring, and substance abuse and mental health treatment services. 

* Pursuant to subparagraph 985.12(2)(b)1., F.S., "Offenses involving the use or possession of a firearm do not qualify for a prearrest delinquency citation program."
